I really enjoyed the story about how Gillian Lynne, the Broadway chorographer discovered her talent. It is a perfect example of how “students get educated out of creativity” as Robinson states in the video.

Well We as a educators and good teacher besides to give a class, teach a subject or a lecture, its important a conexion with our student we have to give steps and tools for their process and how they can discover their skills, their talents and how they can show that they can Give, for instance we are in the obligation of orient and give the support, for their process.

ReplyDeleteCreativity is one of the most important tools within education; however the traditional education model has been responsible of the creativity's decrease in the academic field. I think there are a lot of ways to develop the student's creativity, taking into account the different areas in the school and how these areas are developed by each one of them. Is important know their strengths and weaknesses to make an excellent teaching performance, being the bridge that connects the students with the most enjoyed academic or artistic area by them!

To me. the most important part of the video is when he express that; when we are kids, we simpley have enormous mistakes and we do not worry about it. but we miss this skill when we grow up 'cause we have to be perfect...this stupid way of think is in education, whe do we alwasy push to our students to be perfect? We have to accept their and own mistakes in oder to grow up slowly and living that knowledge

We, as a teacher have many bad ideas. Sir ken Robinson express it on the video in the minute 12:04 that is my point, it is so true and we just focus on the "important subject" Dancing is a subject and math too. we just focus on the academic part, but life and living is important . the idea is to search an balanced point.

I really enjoyed it!, Because , this video wants to invite us to make a deep reflection about our teaching and learning process . Many times ,we just think in the academic area forgetting the students's needs and all the abilities they have;we don't remember that we were children too; the creativity is not just for children but also young people and adults ,don't limit it.

It begins from the simple ideas ,a rose could be blue , an animal could be a heroe;don't stop the imagination everyone has ;the human beings are artists and they will create and learn easily thanks to the creativity.
As Sir Ken Robinson says ,¨if you're not prepared to be wrong you never come with anything original",that's totally true ,we as teachers must explode the skills of our students .Thus,They will create the future innovation.

ReplyDeleteFirstly, we could make mistakes all the time, but we don´t have to worry about it, because it permits us to increase our creativity. Due to education model has been responsible of the creativity's decrease, because schools always are based on academic field.
ReplyDeleteSo this video invite us to consider in the learning process the students's needs, abilities and creativity. For this reason as a future teacher I have to permit and help them to discover their own talents.
Well actually listening is process of receiving, construction and meaning form and responding to spoken. But when you hear it doesn´t mean that you understand what you heard. So listening on the other hand, is a skill, which develop a physical and mental process. Mainly, listening is a psychological process of receiving.
ReplyDeleteNevertheless, perception have different perspectives one of them is the empirical knowledge that is grounded in how we see, hear, touch, smell. I mean is when we use all those senses in the real world. The second one, merely on the listeners and how they produce and processing in the brain.

ReplyDeleteWe as future English teachers have to take into account the weaknesses and likes of learners. That is, we need to be creative teachers to supply and support the learning of our students. During an academic process, students can get some mistakes and difficulties related to some academic aspects. In this case, we as teachers need to be creative and implement good tools to support them. In adittion, we as teachers can get errors in our methodology of teaching, so, we have to identify our mistakes and polish our methodologies in order to be better and teach in a good way. Students has different ways to learn, therefore, we must get different methodologies and resources to support them.
